Whistleblower Policy
REACH — Real Educational Answers for Community Hope promotes transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct. This Whistleblower Policy protects individuals who, in good faith, report suspected wrongdoing or policy violations within the organization.
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and partners can raise concerns without fear of retaliation. It supports compliance with state and federal law and encourages prompt resolution of ethical or legal issues.
Reporting Concerns
- Reports may include suspected fraud, misuse of funds, conflicts of interest, safety violations, or breaches of policy.
- Concerns should be directed to the Board Chair or designated compliance contact at REACH.
- Anonymous reports will be accepted and reviewed to the extent possible.
Protection from Retaliation
Individuals who report concerns in good faith are protected from retaliation, harassment, or discrimination. Retaliation against a whistleblower will result in disciplinary action up to and including removal or termination.
Confidentiality
All reports will be handled as confidentially as possible. Identities may be shared only with those directly responsible for investigation and corrective action.
Investigation and Resolution
- The Board Chair or designee will review each report promptly.
- If necessary, external advisors may assist in investigations.
